oh la la... Rosé [PINK]

The color that started it all. Pink. I thought it was fitting to start it off again on that note. It's been a long time my friends but I am back. Things have changed, things continue to change but I have found a balance and am ready to commit to this in a way that I haven't been able to in a long time. So I got married, move half way across the world, got a job with an amazing non-profit all while struggling to learn how to be a wife and a homemaker in a place far away from everyone I love and everything I know.

So back on topic. Pink! Just saying it makes me think of spring and tea parties. It's feminine but I hate when people say it's girlie because it is more than that. Men in pink are real men in my opinion.

Anyways, this season, make sure you are edgy with your feminine ware. If already mix and match, then you're awesome and if you don't mix and match then you need to get on that bandwagon.

She's Blushing

I haven't done a Colorific post in a while and that's because I completely hadn't realized! So this is me remedying that! So I hope that you enjoy this one; BLUSH! It's such a delicate and feminine color, perfect for hot summer days when you don't want to wear the typical white because let's face it, if you're like me, your whites never stay white for long!

MY TIP: Don't limit yourself to one shade, add variety to your wardrobe and give more peachy tones a try!

Blood Orange

It has been a busy past couple of weeks, but I'm back with a passion and you will be getting some great posts very very soon! This is a post that I'm loving! Orange is so bright and such a great option for summer. I love the idea of an orange blouse with light denim, or a pair of white pants, (Karen Walker did it right!)

MY TIP: It can easily be overdone, and to avoid looking like orange sherbet make sure you tone it down with different colored items!

Pretty Yellow

In case you didn't notice, the weather has been beautiful! I just bought a car and I'm still waiting for it to arrive, and if you know me, then you know that I have no patience. AT ALL. So I'm waiting, and watching this gorgeous cruising weather disappear right before my eyes :( I'm so disappointed but there's still a chance I might get to enjoy it a bit. I'll keep you guys informed and hopefully I should have my new baby in two weeks! So while I wait, I decided to give you a bright and cheery post! Yellow is all over the runway and will really be a big color all summer long! I love how designers are really embracing this sunny color but beware that  with all the retro styles coming back, it's going to be so easy to look like a scary blast from the 70's past. Other than that, enjoy this fresh and energetic color! 

MY TIP: Choose a shade that suits your skintone. Yellow can really make you look awful if not correctly done!

Fresh White Linens

What could be better than winter white? It brings to mind fresh linens and who doesn't love that? I have to admit that while white is so clean and pretty, it’s hard keeping it looking so pristine and perfect. So it isn’t practical but when layered in various shades, from oyster to cream to parchment, it’s so fresh, appealing and totally cozy! I love the sheer subtleties of white and it makes me want to just live in it! So forget the whole not wearing white after Labor Day; white works, any time of the year!

MY TIP: Don’t try too hard to match shades. Select rich fabrics with textures and plush.
